Glamping in Oregon Wine Country: The Vintages, Willamette Valley
Have you ever wondered what glamping in wine country would look like? Well imagine this..
Refurbished vintage airstreams surrounded by rolling hills, complete with comfortable mattresses, luxurious linens, outdoor grills, complimentary cruiser bikes, and one stunning sunset!
The Vintages Trailer Resort is parked right in the center of beautiful Willamette Valley, Oregon, between Dundee and downtown McMinnville. At first, the idea of staying at a trailer park in wine country struck me as an odd idea, but when I came across photos of The Vintages I was thoroughly intrigued. I think you will be too..
Half of the RV park is for the public, and the other half are the vintage airstreams that make up the resort. Each vintage airstream varies in size and personality. My family and I were lucky enough to stay in two different trailers so we could see what they were all about.
First night was the fiery 1961 Shasta Reissue with a metal flame and red exterior. The inside was much larger, and comfortably fit my parents, Larry and I. The pastel patio furniture was like a time machine taking us back to grilling out in the 60s. The second night was with the Airstream Bambi, which offered more of a modern day vibe, but was a tight fit for the family and I. The Bambi sat at the edge of the park, and was less covered by trees.. Needless to say our day began around sunrise.
Around the time the sun was setting, we picked up cheese, crackers and wine from the lobby, and relaxed while we watched the sky turn from light blue to orange and pink.
Quite possibly the most unique wine country vacation I have ever had, The Vintages made it that much more memorable.
When you're selecting your trailer online, call to confirm the size and number of guests it can comfortably hold. Ours was definitely a little off..
