Color Me Full: Cafe Organic, Canggu
My first question when I saw Cafe Organic was, why don’t we have this in California?
I call dibs if they ever ask for someone to open another location!
This cafe has the most expansive, and colorful, menu I have came across in Bali. Health foodies unite! Because Cafe Organic is rad af!
Super smoothies, feel good juices, kombucha’s, all day breakfast, smoothie bowls and vegan ice creams… are just a few of my favorite things. Everything is presented beautiful, you almost don’t want to eat it. But you will, and you’ll likely go back for seconds (I did, don’t judge!).
The Afrika bowl with cacao, banana, peanut butter, cashews, strawberries, granola and coconut flakes was out of this world. I even came home and tried to recreate it, and it just did not come out the same. Perhaps because my apartment doesn’t boast a bohemian vibe, like Cafe Organic, or maybe because I’m not sitting in a chair hammock eating amazingness!
Bali is full of boho-vibes, and there is no other inspirational cafe to work from in Bali. The cafe was packed with creatives, on their MacBook’s, meeting with their fellow creatives no doubt.
Garden Gangstas, as they call them, were a friendly group of waiters that ran the cafe. Locally sourced produce, with a focus on simplicity and beautifully design presentation, the food looked just as creative as those eating it.
I started with a Taro Latte, made from the taro plant, and most definitely the best latte I’ve ever stomached. It’s purple too, so like, why not order that?
Alongside my latte, I slurped down a green detox to nurse my hangover (Bali is fun y’all!), and out of all things, ate an Earth Bowl salad. After I consume all of that, I decided there is just no way I could come to Cafe Organic and not order the smoothie bowls. Boy was I right!
Colorful and packed into a coconut bowl, The Afrika filled me right on up!
They have two locations. Seminyak & Canggu. Need I say more?
